Flame Keepers is a perpetual music installation commissioned, created, and launched by Metropolis Ensemble. It runs uninterrupted in real time, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.

The installation consists of seven 2min-long-max loops that the composer can replace one at a time every 7 hours. The loops don’t run in sync, creating an ever-changing sonic landscape.
